Some of the entries entered into the Essex village of Copford’s scarecrow competition 2009. This competition is being staged during the week running up to the open gardens day on Sunday 28th June 2009. Strawberry Teas being served in Copford Primary School.

Humpty Dumpty at the Shire Barn
During the evening of Monday the 22nd of June person or persons unknown smashed up Humpty Dumpty but the creator managed to put him back together again. A poor reflection on todays society especially in village life.

Lavenham Suffolk Market Cross

After many visits over the years to Lavenham Suffolk I have managed to get a photograph of the Market Cross without the obligatory parked car in front of it or beside it. Normally the Market Square is one big car park. Image taken using TSE Canon tilt and shift 24mm lens.
This historic medieval wool town prospered during 15th and 16th Century and was famous for Lavenham blue broadcloth. The town is full of half timbered houses and is a main tourist place. Well worth a visit.
